SS Explorer Restoration Project
The SS Explorer preservation Society is currently in the process of an ambitious restoration project which should hopefully see the SS Explorer returned to full sea worthness.
The restoration of the SS Explorer is being undertaken with two clear aims.
1. To help keep alive a unique part of Scottish Maritime History
2. To provide a tourist service; providing sailing opportunities with an emphasis on marine animal life and the environment, plus promotional and safety assitance to other sailing activities envisaged
