UK Archaeologists Discover Large Roman Shipyard
UK archaeologists have discovered a large Roman shipyard while excavating Portus – the ancient port of Rome.
University of Southampton and British School at Rome (BSR) archaeologists, working with the Italian Archaeological Superintendancy of Rome, uncovered the remains of the massive building close to the distinctive hexagonal basin or ‘harbour’, at the centre of the port complex. for more click here
