Hawes Inn South Queensferry

The Hawes Inn has strong connections with the celebrated author Robert Louis Stevenson, who was born in Edinburgh on the 13th November 1850. It is said that he stayed in the Inn and actually wrote part of the famous novel ‘Kidnapped’ in one of the rooms.
