Burns was a republican fan of French revolution, says expert

In the late 18th century, it was a dangerous idea, a political view that could entail deportation to the penal colonies. But the revered Scots poet Robert Burns was openly discussing republican sentiments in the last months of his life, risking punitive action for challenging the authority of the king, an expert in Scottish literature has found. for more click here

The Chapel of St Anthony near Leith-1416

The document dated the 12th October 1416 not only disproves the usual foundation date of 1438 but also that James I founded the chapel which would have been impossible as he was in the Tower of London at the time and would be until 1424
