After 200 years, Adam Smith is honoured in Edinburgh

On July 4th, a ceremony was held in Edinburgh, Scotland to unveil a statue of economist Adam Smith, 200 years after his death.

While the monument, paid for entirely with private money, was erected by the London-based Adam Smith Institute, a Calgary entrepreneur played an early and important role in honouring this neglected free market economist and Edinburgh’s most illustrious son. for more click here
