Leith and Jerusalem
In this 15th century picture the Moslims were in control of Jerusalem and the Church of the Holy Sepulture and a tax was levied on Christian pilgrims. The Holy Sepulture on the right is identical to the canopy that “Virgin Mary and Child” sits under in the original Leith Coat of Arms.
