The Boys’ Brigade (the BB) is an international non-denominational Christian youth organisation. The object of the Boys’ Brigade is: “The advancement of Christ’s kingdom among Boys and the promotion of habits of Obedience, Reverence, Discipline, Self-respect and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness.” Its motto “Sure and Steadfast” (also spelt Stedfast) is taken from Hebrews 6:19 in the King James (or Authorised) Version of the Bible
