Skilled fighter dies after long cancer battle

FORMER professional flyweight boxer Johnny Riley has died aged 83 after a long battle with cancer.

Edinburgh man Riley fought as Johnny Summers between 1939 and 1949 and beat outstanding opponents such as world amateur eight-stone champion “Skeets” Gallagher from Clydebank as well as championship-class boxers such as George Parkes, Hugh Cameron and Sammy Reynolds. for more click here
