THE secure brick walls of David’s Tower were designed to be impregnable. Built in the most heavily fortified part of Edinburgh Castle, above the sheer rock face of the eastern crags, its very purpose was to keep out unwanted visitors, specifically the marauding armies of the English. for more click here
