Did not know that the trains from the Caledonian Railway were not opened to the public. As a wee “keelie†I was always fascinated to know what was up the hill to the big black building. I once saw a train go accross Leith Walk I now know this was not from Central Station. In Leith recently glad to see the clock is still going.

I have a very early childhood recollection of my Dad taking me to Leith station to see what I remember as “the silver train †which was being exhibited at Leith ..it would have been just after WWII .does anyone have any knowledge of this event ?.many thanks in anticipation
