Altar and Sanctuary
To give a very general idea of what the altar of South Leith Church would have looked like prior to the Reformation. The only difference being instead of the cross there was a image according to some sources of the Virgin Mary (?) and there was a lamp constantly burning the oil being purchased from the feu duty charged on Lampacre which is where Seafield Cemetary is now.
