Leith at War
This German aerial photograph was taken on the outbreak of war in 1939 and marked secret.It pinpoints Henry Robb’s Shipyard.
As it turned out only a couple of bombs landed in the docks duting the whole of the war. The Port being very heavily defended against raiders and a boom was placed across the Forth at Cramond.
